AYLUS members can report community service hours so that all your great contributions can be recorded!

The first step is to fill up the PDF form and send it to local branch leaders. Local branch leaders then work with branch advisers to validate the form. The PDF form is as follows:

As soon as a member’s offline request forms are collected and validated, local branch advisers submit the consolidated volunteer hours for each member via the following online report system: Online Volunteer Service Report Form


The Presidential Service Award

Volunteer will receive volunteer hours according to the hours they contribution to educational assistant discussion group activities, organizing the event, assisting AYLUS student to carry through their community service projects, etc.  At the end of the year, volunteers  who accumulate enough community service hours will receive a certificate for the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Information about the award’s criteria can be found here:

Kids (5-10) 26 – 49 50 – 74 75 +
Teens (11–15) 50 – 74 75 – 99 100 +
Young Adults (16-25) 100 – 174 175 – 249 250 +
Adults (26 and older) 100 – 249 250 – 499 500+
Families and Groups* 200 – 499 500 – 999 1,000+
President’s Lifetime Achievement Award: Individuals who have completed 4,000 or more hours in their lifetime
* Two or more people, with each member contributing at least 25 hours toward the total

The award package includes:

  • Customized certificate
  • Choice of pin, medallion or coin
  • Letter from the President

Display of the certificate with volunteer's name, letters from President Obama and the CNCS and POL, and a PVSA pin, medallion, and coin.
